New painting begins

Hi everyone! I wanted to show you a new painting and see how its progressing. I started with a photo my niece gave me of the Pittsburgh skyline. Using acrylic paints, I tried to capture the sky with its tones of pink, grey and orange. Then, using black paint, I blocked in some of the buildings in the distance. When I'm painting I get down close to the paper on the buildings to try to make straight lines but sometimes making curvy lines just the same -- that's okay, though :)
