Caribbean scrapboard begins new life

Can you hear the tinkling of the bamboo wind chimes as the Caribbean sea sighs in the background? How 'bout all that glitters like the waves on the water. And the still tourquoise water that reveals the sea's bounty beneath.

This scrapboard began as recycled barnwood all nailed together. The photographs, papers and memorabila were collected from my Caribbean cruise in March of 2012. The sanding, and laying down of copper,  gold, and silver foils were painstaking. The processes required patience and elbow grease. It became messy as spray glue and its accompanying fumes were involved.

My favorite part of the process is moving the pieces around. That's the wonder of scrapboarding - touching the fine art!
